Cleaned the haze off your new porcelain tiles and they still look cloudy? If the grout had a booster or latex additive mixed in, there are two things stuck to your tiles: cement and a thin plastic-like film. You need to remove them one at a time.

4 steps to clear tiles

1Cement first. OxiTreat+ mixed 1:2 with water on floors, or Oxi Gel+ straight from the bottle on walls. Wet the grout lines first, leave 10 minutes, scrub with a white, blue or black pad (light, medium, heavy haze), rinse. Very light haze under 10 days old? Haze Away mixed 1:1 or straight from the bottle is enough.
2Check it dry. Look across the floor towards a window. Cloudy or smeary patches = the latex film.
3Lift the film. Aqua-Strip mixed 1:2 (1:1 if it’s heavy). Keep it wet 10 to 60 minutes, scrub, rinse well.
4Still there? Strip-It straight from the bottle, 30 minutes to 2 hours, then scrub and rinse.
Pads and brushes: white pad for light haze, blue for medium, black for heavy. Rough or textured tiles? A good stiff bristle brush gets in between the texture.
Don’t mix products. Rinse with clean water between each one, wear gloves and eye protection, and test a small corner first.

Tiling soon? Skip the haze

Add 100 mL of Haze Away to a 4 L bucket of water for your last grout wipe-down. It helps reduce haze forming in the first place.

Quick answers

I scrubbed with acid and my tiles still look cloudy. Why?

Your grout probably had a booster or latex additive in it. That leaves a plastic-like film that acid can't dissolve. Aqua-Strip is made to lift it.

Is it safe to use these on porcelain?

Yes, porcelain and ceramic tiles handle both acid and alkaline cleaners. Test a small corner first, especially with dark grout or shiny tiles.

Can I mix OxiTreat+ and Aqua-Strip to save time?

No. Never mix them. Use one, rinse well with clean water, then use the next.

Do I need to seal afterwards?

Seal the grout once everything is clean and dry. If you used Strip-It, wait at least 48 hours first.
